We do not exclusively present or favor the views of any single individual, group, organization or advertiser.

Our editorial decisions are not influenced by our advertisers, but we are proud to note that most or all of our advertisers are small, locally owned, independent businesses and nonprofits. We are proud to provide a platform that gives them an opportunity to communicate with our readers. Big River Voice is also a small, locally governed, nonprofit business.

Donations are only accepted in support of our broader mission and not to cover any particular topic or to support any particular point of view. We will make public on our website and our annual report any donations of $5,000 or more.

We recognize the value of a healthier ecosystem and a more equitable society. We hope that by sharing news, feature stories and other information about our stretch of the river and the surrounding Driftless Area we will enable and inspire processes that will make this a better place.
